Peruvian Paso HorseThe Peruvian Paso is an equine breed native to Peru, descending from the Spanish horses introduced during the conquest and the early colonial era. It has been officially declared a protected breed of Peru and a 'Flagship Product' by the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism. This breed is highly distinct due to its unique body proportions and its characteristic gait. While historically rooted in Northern Peru—specifically in La Libertad, Lambayeque, and Piura—this exceptional species has flourished and developed across Southern Peru as well.
